Thank you for visiting our website to find out more about our school.
We are a local authority maintained Nursery school, offering places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The school has had a varied history, having been an Early Excellence Centre and a Children’s Centre since its opening in 1999, although there has been a school on the site for many years and generations of families have been educated on the site.
Everyone associated with Bilston Nursery School is passionate about providing the highest standards of early education for young children and we are proud to have been rated ‘Outstanding‘ by Ofsted at our last five inspections.
Our focus is to create confident, enthusiastic learners who have a broad range of knowledge and skills that will prepare them for their future learning journey. Our children learn through play, skilfully guided by our qualified staff who encourage their natural curiosity and desire to explore. The learning environment and activities are planned to enable children to find out about the world whilst developing a range of core skills including a love of stories, an understanding of number and strong personal and social skills. Children make excellent progress in our Nursery and our parents tell us that their children ‘come on in leaps and bounds’.
Ofsted have described our environment as ‘sensational’ and we have continued to develop our indoor and outdoor spaces to create wonderful play areas where our children can engage in a wide range of stimulating and exciting activities. The start of this academic year sees us expanding our classroom spaces and creating new areas for our children’s learning.
We see ourselves as a family, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere where children and families feel safe and secure. Our team of committed staff are all trained in early years education and includes qualified teachers who lead our excellent standards of teaching and learning.
We warmly welcome prospective parents who would like to find out more about our nursery and find out why Ofsted described our school as ‘a special place to learn’.
